A leading architectural practice with a strong reputation for thoughtful, sustainable design is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join its dynamic team in Cambridge. The practice delivers high-quality projects across a range of sectors including education, cultural, healthcare and residential.

The successful Architectural Technician will play a key role in developing detailed technical solutions for a variety of projects. You will work closely with architects and consultants and will contribute to the smooth delivery of schemes from early design through to construction.

Experience, Responsibilities and Skills for the role of Architectural Technician:

  • Relevant degree or an HND or HND in Architectural Technology
  • Sufficient industry experience in a UK-based practice
  • Produce high-quality technical drawings and detailed construction packages
  • Coordinate information with consultants and contractors
  • Assist with project delivery across RIBA Stages 3-6
  • Ensure compliance with current UK building regulations and technical standards
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and experience with BIM workflows is beneficial
  • Excellent technical knowledge and attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of UK building regulations and construction techniques
  • Effective communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
