Due to expansion, our client is looking for an experienced Plant Fitter to join them. They are a well-established construction services provider based in Cambridge. This company operates a fleet of machinery, servicing projects across East Anglia and London.

The Role:

As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a variety of construction plant and machinery, including:

• Articulated tippers / Dumper 
• 360/180 machines
• Rigid tippers
• Low loaders
• Hook loaders
• Volumetric concrete lorries
• Other heavy plant and site equipment

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct planned maintenance and repairs on a wide range of plant equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
• Work efficiently to minimise downtime and ensure machinery operates safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Plant Fitter/Plant Mechanic within construction, transport, or similar industries.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of plant machinery, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
