Your new companyHays have partnered with a growing Professional Services Firm who are looking for a Business Development Executive to join their Marketing team in a newly created role. Your new roleAs the Business Development Executive, you will be working within the Marketing team, reporting into the Marketing Manager. You will manage and deliver a structured and reportable programme of business development activity that supports the partners in developing new business using all delivery channels, e.g. face-to-face, telephone, mail and digital. You will also liaise with third parties such as digital agencies, social media channels and creative/design agencies to ensure the smooth delivery of BD initiatives. Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Generating ideas for BD initiatives and delivering initiatives alongside service line heads
  • Assist local partners with BD activities
  • Compiling data lists to support partners in prospecting activities
  • Schedule management
  • Review gains measurement methodology to evaluate effectiveness of initiatives
  • Monthly reporting on effectiveness of deliverables
  • Develop and maintain databases
  • Assisting with the formation of the firm's CRM system
  • Develop competitor monitoring programme to fully exploit opportunities
  • Maximise sponsorship opportunities
  • Support Marketing team with event attendance

What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need previous experience with business development or marketing, with knowledge of email campaigns, website maintenance and social media channels. Experience within the Professional Services sector is key and you must be able to drive as you will be expected to travel to visit other offices. You will be a pro-active individual who is confident in developing new business relationships and has excellent verbal and written communication skills. What you'll get in return
