This role sits within our Cleaning business division which provides deep cleaning, hygiene management, and industrial cleaning services to a wide range of prestigious clients.
About The Role:Days of Work: Monday to FridayHours Per Week: 37.5 hours per weekWe are currently recruiting for an Assistant Contract Manager (Soft Services) to join our team in Cambridge. This is aligned to our prestigious contract with the University of Cambridge.Key responsibilities:
- Working closely with the operations director/senior account managers to attend site visits and quality control audits.
- Face to face interactions with customers and staff.
- Staff inductions.
- Ensuring all cleaning is done accordingly and timely to high standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure all cleaners are operating in line with H&S legislation
- Promoting and enforcing the use of clocking systems
- Supporting with mobilisation tasks, including site visits, consultations, inductions and training
- Support with recruitment and local candidate attraction
- Escalating any issues or concerns to the Regional Operations Manager around poor quality of service
- To develop and maintain a successful working relationship with the customer to ensure that their expectations are met whilst working to the defined specifications.
- Ability to work under own initiative and demonstrate effective problem solving
Skills & Experience:
- Candidates need to be skilled in at working in a fast-moving environment within the commercial cleaning service sector
- Customer service and relationship building skills
- Excellent communication skills (in-person, phone and email)
- Positive attitude to challenges with the ability to remain calm under pressure in a highly pressurised environment.
- Full and clean UK driving licence and be able to travel to sites
- Flexible working hours will be required
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Highly organised and able to prioritise workloads
- Flexible attitude towards work requirements
