Facilities Engineer

  • Monday to Thursday: 8am - 4:30pm
  • Friday: 8am - 1pm(Required to support outside working hours as needed)

Job Description:We are looking for a Facilities Engineer to join our clients team based in Waterbeach. The successful candidate will report to the HSEF Manager and play a crucial role in maintaining the site’s facilities and ensuring safe, efficient operations. You will be responsible for general site maintenance, liaising with contractors, and supporting production and office activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with and demonstrate good knowledge of site safety procedures.
  • Perform general site maintenance, including plumbing and joinery repairs.
  • Conduct site inspections and checks to ensure all areas are in good condition.
  • Work closely with contractors to ensure projects meet high standards and are completed on time.
  • Support environmental response and improvements, adhering to Health & Safety regulations.
  • Assist with the Facilities Helpdesk by managing tickets and providing quick solutions.
  • Implement visual factory and 5S practices for an organised and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain the grounds, ensuring a tidy and safe facility.
  • Provide production and office support where necessary.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and risk assessments.
  • Some knowledge of engineering systems (heating, ventilation, plumbing).
  • Proactive, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Computer literate, especially in MS Word and Excel.
  • Production or Manufacturing environment experience ideally
  • Ability to work at height, with a valid forklift license and driving license.
Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work additional hours to meet production goals.
  • Availability to support emergency callouts when needed.
