Reed Business Support in Cambridge are excited to be working with one of Cambridge's most prestigious college's who are seeking a Head of Accommodation and Housekeeping to lead and manage their college’s accommodation and housekeeping services. This pivotal role ensures the college is presented at its very best, creating a welcoming, clean and well-kept environment for all members of the college community and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting legal, environmental and health and safety obligations and developing long-term sustainable strategies for accommodation quality and provision.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Develop and manage the college’s accommodation services, addressing enquiries and resolving issues.
  • Oversee housekeeping operations across all college sites, ensuring high standards and compliance with cleaning procedures.
  • Manage furniture and furnishings requests, coordinate internal moves and maintain inventory and condition reports.
  • Lead and motivate a multi-site housekeeping team, fostering a professional and supportive environment.
  • Assist with budget production and management, ensuring cost-effective operations and value for money.
  • Implement a health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with legislation and safe working practices.
  • Contribute to the college’s environmental strategy and accommodation strategy development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in accommodation and housekeeping management within a healthcare, hospital, educational or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and environmental practices.
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies and processes.
  • Experience in budget management and procurement.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and databases for accommodation and housekeeping management.
