We are currently recruiting for a On-site Carpenter to work for our well-known client based in Cambridge. The position is permanent role working Monday to Friday and they are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
Main Duties
- Carrying out carpentry repairs and installations, such as fitting locks, hanging doors, and repairing sash windows.
- Providing support across various trades, including tiling, glazing, and painting.
- Driving the maintenance van to collect and deliver materials and assisting other tradesmen when required.
- Liaising with students, Fellows, and staff to schedule and carry out work, ensuring their needs are met.
- Ensuring properties are left clean and safe after work is completed.
Successful Candidate
- Demonstrated skills in carpentry and a willingness to learn and assist with other trades.
- Ability to carry out a range of carpentry tasks, including fitting locks, hanging doors, and repairing sash windows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prioritise safety in all work activities and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and be flexible in carrying out various maintenance tasks.
