Job Title: Patent Administrator

Location: Cambridge

Working Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days in the office, 3 from home)

Salary: Up to £50,000 + benefits

Role Overview: They are seeking a skilled Patent Administrator to join their team in the Cambridge office. The ideal candidate will be CIPA qualified, have 3-4 years prior experience, and possess exceptional people and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting letters and email correspondence.
  • Amending documents and maintaining files.
  • Arranging meetings for fee earners.
  • Provide cover support to other Patent Administrators.
  • Preparing patent applications.
  • Use of IPT where necessary to complete relevant tasks such as entering new files, updating dates, and clearing deadlines.
  • Preparing invoices and credit notes.

Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years previous experience within IP and who holds a CIPA qualification.
  • Exceptional people and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good attention to detail and methodical in their work.
  • Able to work on their own initiative and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Legal secretarial and partnership experience is desirable.
