Job Details

We are a prestigious, Italian/Mediterranean Restaurant based in Cambridgerecommended in all the major food guides for its refined cuisine. We have enjoyed unfettered success over the the last 30 years and we are looking to expand.

We are currently seeking an exceptionally talented Chefs with a flare forcreativity and passion for food.

Working alongside our team in a dynamic fusion restaurant servingItalian/Mediterranean Cuisine your main task will be assist our kitchen team and deputising in the absence of the head chef.

Your skills together with your understanding of contemporary presentation to ensure the delivery of a quality dining experience for ourpatrons; will also assist in experimenting, developing and updating our menus by introducing Italian/ Mediterranean inspired dishes that are unique to the restaurants brand.

Other tasks will include:

Observing, documenting and reporting any unsafe practicesand recommending remedies and training, preparing food cost reports andrecommendation for the most cost effective recipes whilst maintaining quality, prepares estimates for daily and weekly requirements and replenishes items as appropriate, supervising the junior grade chefs in the preparation of food, monitoring the quality of food taste and presentation of dishes prepared by thejunior grade chefs, establishing and maintaining training programmes for the junior grade chefs, monitoring the junior grade chefs for hygiene and uniforms, making recommendations of the progress and performance of the junior grade chefs.

The ideal candidate must have proven experience in Hospitality Management,particularly in food production. You will be standards driven with a passion forcreating Italian / Mediterranean Cuisine.

Must have leadership skills and an ability to motivate others. You should also enjoy leading anddeveloping associates, resolving problems under time pressure.
