Together with our client we are looking for an ambitious Chef de Partie (Section Chef) who will assist the Executive Head Chef, Shift Head Chefs and Sous Chefs with the production of innovative high-quality dishes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with similar experience and a passion for food who wishes to develop their skills in a fast moving, varied and professional environment. Working with high quality fresh ingredients in a fantastic modern kitchen you be part of a team who are dedicated to providing meals for the whole community (Fellows x 190, students x 1070 and staff x 350) as well as large and small functions and events which include private dinners/lunches, weddings, Feasts and other high profile special events. Applicants must be creative, have a strong work ethic and be able to lead through example in order to inspire and train junior staff. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a busy team are essential as is the ability to foster good working relationships. A good working knowledge of health, safety and hygiene together with awareness of special diets and nutrition is important. You should also have a proven and positive track record in a busy commercial environment, NVQ level 2/3 in Catering or equivalent, and a certificate in Food Hygiene.
