Chemical Process Technician

Reed Scientific are recruiting for a Chemical Process Technician for our client who are at the forefront of developing innovative recycling methods for electronic waste. They are expanding their team and are in search of a Chemical Process Technician to maintain their operational processes and contribute to the development of new operations within their research facility. The successful candidate will have an understanding of chemistry and be passionate about sustainability. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage separation processes using process equipment to create fractionalised product streams.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in collaboration with the team.
  • Participate actively in monthly whole-team meetings and committees to contribute to ongoing process development and improvements.
  • Provide support to the operations and lab teams with various tasks, such as sample collection and stock auditing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualification in chemistry or applied sciences, or relevant experience in a scientific research or chemical processing facility.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the drive to collaborate with the team to enhance current processes and develop new ones.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow standard operating procedures
  • Have an understanding of COSHH
