CK Group are recruiting for Quality Assurance Support Chemist, to join a chemical manufacturing company, at their site based near Cambridge, on a full time basis for a 12 month fixed-term contract.

Our client is a leading chemical and materials manufacturer.


Location:


This role is located at our client's site just outside of Cambridge. Commutable from Saffron Walden, Duxford, Royston andBishop's Stortford.


Quality Assurance Support Chemist Role:

Your main duties will be:

Batch Release Management
  • Releasing products and overseeing processes - reviewing, approving and managing release of products from the Company's site.
  • Identifying and escalating issues - clearly communicating concerns quickly.
  • Collaboration with other site teams and functions to smoothly release planning and execution.
Customer Complaint Support
  • Investigation support - assisting QA lead with customer complaints via lab analysis.
  • Analytical techniques - using viscometry, FTIR and Lapshear to investigate product properties.
  • Laboratory experience - assisting with detailed product investigations.
Audit Support
  • Quality Audits - assisting in managing site audit process.

Your Background:


The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
  • Highly proficient in SAP and Labworks (or similar).
  • Experience/education in the laboratory, including using analytical techniques.
  • University degree or equivalent in Chemistry - preferable.
  • Prior knowledge of Batch Release Management.
  • Ability to carry out detailed analytical work.
  • Exceptional communicator and collaborator.
  • Ability to effectively escalate issues leading to resolution.
