My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Drainage, Civil and Flood Risk Engineering, is searching for a Flood Risk Modeller to join an established team. This role offers remote working or hybrid working from a local office including Sheffield, Cambridge or Manchester (other locations available).

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments and Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller or Tuflow.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join an experienced team of Engineers to work on varied flood risk, drainage and modelling projects. You will be supported by the team to diversify your skills in modelling and drainage design. You will have the opportunity to complete varied residential, greenfield, energy parks, renewable energy and battery storage projects for Local Authorities, House Builders, Contractors and Private Sector Clients.

Applicants will also be supported to complete the following;

-Flood risk assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3.

-Surface water management plans.

-Surface water and foul drainage strategies.

-Pollution prevention.

-Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.

-Project management.

-Mentoring.

-Client meetings to discuss project development.
