Principal Temporary Works Engineer

Are you a Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer? Do you have several years of postgraduate experience? Do you have a valid CSCS card?

Our client is recruiting for a Principal Engineer to join their team in Cambridge. You'd be working within the Professional Services team, supporting the delivery of a broad range of Civil & Structural / MEICA related services in both Temporary and Permanent Works throughout the business.

Your day to day will include agreeing technical requirements of the client remit, questioning, and challenging where necessary. You will lead the development of fee proposals for review in accordance with Delegated Authority policy. You will oversee organising and leading the day-to-day workload of engineers and technical staff within the design team, ensuring technical compliance of the design to the remit.

Also, you will ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements and Company policies/procedures, including CDM Regulations and design Quality Management System (QMS). You will manage the financial and commercial aspects of the project with the support of the Engineering Manager and Commercial Manager, monitoring progress against, and ensuring the project is delivered to, agreed programme and budget.
