We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of a public realm scheme in Cambridge. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highways and public realm works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
路Setting out & Surveying: Conduct accurate setting out for public realm and highways works, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
路Quality Assurance: Oversee workmanship, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
路Technical Support: Provide engineering guidance to site teams and resolve technical challenges.
路Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all works adhere to CDM regulations and company health & safety policies.
路Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and local authorities to coordinate activities.
路Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records, as-built drawings, and progress reports, ensuring accurate project documentation.
Requirements:
- Experience in Highways / Public Realm projects (essential)
- Proficiency in setting out techniques and surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD)
- Strong understanding of civil engineering standards and regulations
- CSCS card (essential)
- SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable)
