Our client is a forward-thinking and thriving multi-disciplinary surveying consultancy, specialising in strategic and technical support to the education sector. They are actively seeking an enthusiastic Building Surveyor to join their talented team based at their Cambridge office.

As a trusted advisor to academy trusts nationwide, this consultancy provides an array of expert services, including building surveying, estate strategy planning, energy consultancy, and funding assistance. The appointed Building Surveyor will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering exciting new-build and refurbishment projects, whilst also collaborating with academies to enhance their estate and energy strategies.

Building Surveyor Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (DOE)

Building Surveyor Job Overview:

  • Deliver comprehensive estate strategies, manage contract administration, and oversee project management for educational sector clients.
  • Lead new-build and refurbishment projects across East Anglia and the Midlands region.
  • Engage proactively with academy trusts to develop and implement sustainable estates and energy strategies.
  • Provide professional and strategic advice to education clients on estate enhancement and available funding opportunities.
  • Based in the Cambridge office, with site visits as necessary.

Building Surveyor Job Requirements:

  • A degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
  • Candidates ranging from Intermediate to Senior levels are encouraged, with a minimum of 1-2 years consultancy experience.
  • Prior experience or familiarity with education sector projects is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, project management, and contract administration.
  • Essential: Full UK driving license due to required travel.
