Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the continuous integration approach and environment, ensuring it is robust and efficient.
- Create and maintain a CI process that supports cloud deployments.
- Develop and maintain scripts and components for the deployment process.
- Work collaboratively with product management, development teams, and other departments such as sales, support, and business development.
- Gain a deep understanding of the organization’s applications and objectives.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry innovations and technology to continually improve processes.
Essential Requirements:
- Five or more years of professional experience in DevOps.
- Demonstrable experience building and configuring environments on AWS, including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and other core AWS services.
- Proven expertise with AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy, including authoring modern YAML pipelines.
- Excellent shell scripting skills in a Linux/Unix environment.
- Experience with Docker and building Docker container applications.
- Strong knowledge of Git and distributed version control systems.
- Experience with multi-tier systems, including databases, app servers, and web/mobile applications.
- Familiarity with AWS tools for managing Agile workflows, such as AWS CodeCommit and AWS CodeStar.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Jenkins, AWS Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), and AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- Knowledge of programming and SQL.
- Experience building custom pipeline tasks for AWS CodePipeline using Python or Node.js.
- Exposure to GitOps and infrastructure automation on AWS.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes.
