We are seeking an EU Business Development Director to expand client relationships and introduce high-quality preclinical research products and services. The ideal candidate will have a life sciences background, strong sales skills, and the ability to travel within the EU and internationally.

A global Contract Research Organization (CRO) providing high-quality products and services for preclinical discovery, testing, and development of new drugs and therapeutic solutions. It serves the biotechnology and biomedical community, pharmaceutical industry, as well as academic and government research institutions. The company is a leading one-stop service center for production, distribution, phenotyping, contract research, and preclinical testing for partners across the world.

Description

  • Expand client relationships and identify new clients to establish business relationships in the EU market.
  • Present products and services to potential customers with an emphasis on preclinical research services.
  • Advocate for the company's solutions and their value to biomedical research.
  • Represent the company's core values reliably.

Profile

  • Degree or equivalent experience in the life sciences required.
  • Knowledge and experience in preclinical research desired.
  • Drug discovery knowledge, biopharma CRO, and relevant business experience required.
  • At least 5 years' experience selling to pharma and biotech preferred. Experience in in vivo pharmacology preferred.
  • Masterful selling skills that result in strong, trusting customer relationships.
  • Highly effective at overcoming obstacles with strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Skilled in conducting business and sales presentations with scientific rigor.
  • Excellent scientific writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel within the EU and internationally with expected travel time of 25% or more.
  • Multilingual is an asset.
  • Passionate about biomedical research, enjoy working in a start-up environment, and is self-motivated.
  • Sensitive to social, economic, and cultural differences.
