Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 (Dependent on experience)

Role Overview:
As a Commercial Manager / Senior QS, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of projects, from budgeting to procurement and contract management. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll ensure that the company’s projects are delivered within budget and on time, maintaining the company’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost control measures. Identify cost-saving opportunities and analyse variances to avoid potential issues.
- Procurement: Oversee procurement for materials, labour, and services. Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best value and evaluate supplier performance.
- Contract Management: Interpret and enforce contract terms with clients and subcontractors. Manage variations and change orders while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Manage financial processes including applications for payment.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure that financial performance aligns with company objectives.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a commercial role within the construction industry.
- Strong background in contract management, QS, or commercial project management.
- Experience or interest in innovative energy systems is a plus but not essential.
- Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and cost control in construction projects.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Construction Project Management may also be considered.
