They are now seeking an experienced Sales Consultant to join their busy team based in Cambridge.

This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in sales, ideally within the removals industry, who is ready to take on the challenge of growing territory revenue and delivering profitable results in line with margin expectations and targets.

Working closely with the Group Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a successful sales process. This will involve conducting office-based (video) and field surveys, as well as defining and executing a sales strategy to meet the group's business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete customer surveys via telephone, video call, self-survey, and field sales as appropriate.
  • All enquiries/quotations to be recorded in the system.
  • Identification of customer buying criteria.
  • Price bounce to gauge customer reaction.
  • Accurate costings via costing form and table.
  • Determining margin through factors such as move date, insurance value, competition, and customer confidence in brand.
  • Insurance sales and uplifts.
  • Introduce affiliate revenue streams.
  • Prepare and submit quotation to customer.
  • Follow up all jobs to conclusion and maintain records in the system.
  • Work with the Operations team to plan moves to establish appropriate service standards.
  • Brief local operational team prior to move date.
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover for operations.

KPI’s:

  • Achieve annual revenue targets.
  • Sales productivity target.
  • Conversion rates from PF04.
  • Achieve product margins via PF10 report.
  • 12 monthly sales reviews.
  • Salesperson of the year.
  • Zero quotes with past move dates.
  • Quote submission within the required timescale.

Required Skills:

  • Previous sales experience.
  • Good negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • PC literate
  • Ability to build alliances and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to understand both customer and competitive environment.
  • Good networking skills.
  • Commercial awareness
