Job Title: Senior Building Surveyor

Overview: Are you an experienced Senior Building Surveyor with a passion for the education sector? We are looking for a skilled and dedicated individual to join a leading surveying practice based in Cambridge, specializing in refurbishment and capital projects for schools, academy trusts, and other educational facilities.
In this role, you will manage a wide range of exciting projects, including refurbishment works, capital improvement initiatives, and occasional surveying tasks. You will also play a key role in supporting the preparation of Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) bids and contributing to the strategic development of educational institutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage refurbishment and capital projects within the education sector, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Conduct site surveys and assessments, identifying building issues and providing advice on appropriate actions.

Provide technical expertise in the preparation of Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) bids, helping secure funding for schools and academies.

Advise clients on building regulations, health and safety compliance, and statutory requirements.

Manage client relationships, offering professional guidance and tailored solutions for each educational institution.

Collaborate with other surveyors and project teams to deliver integrated building solutions.
Essential Requirements:

MRICS (or equivalent) qualified with substantial experience in building surveying.

Proven track record of managing and delivering refurbishment and capital projects, preferably within the education sector.

Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction law, and health and safety standards.

Experience with CIF bids, including the ability to produce detailed and accurate submissions.

Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

A full UK driving license and the ability to travel to various sites as required.
