Location: Waterbeach, CambridgeshireSalary: £13.88 - £15.77 per hourHours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Friday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

Are you an experienced and driven CNC programmer/operator looking for a new challenge and available immediately?

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our client's team, generating CNC programs for 3 & 5-axis machining to trim composite parts, create CNC jigs, and produce composite tooling. This role is critical to ensuring efficient and high-quality production processes.

• Develop CNC programs for 3 & 5-axis machining.
• Generate detailed work instructions for machining setup and support CNC operators during machining.
• Optimize machining practices to reduce time and improve efficiency.
• Support production operatives in all aspects of 3 & 5-axis machining.
• Operate 3 & 5-axis CNC machines as needed to meet resource requirements.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for CNC operators.
• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams and sub-contract suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure on-time and accurate delivery of products.

• Proven experience as a CNC programmer/operator.
• Proficiency in 3 & 5-axis programming software.
• Problem-solving ability to identify root causes and resolve technical issues.
• Experience with or willingness to learn 3D CAD software.
• Familiarity with Mastercam CNC software (training can be provided).
• Awareness of or experience with CMM inspection processes and relevant software (training can be provided).
• Homag experience preferred.
