Service Engineering Supervisor | Permanent | Cambridgeshire | £37000 - £43,000 | Company Car | Fuel Card | Management BonusCherry Professional are looking for an experienced Service Engineering Supervisor to work for a market leading company. You’ll lead a diverse team of engineers, ensuring the seamless delivery of all engineering services within KPI guidelines.Responsibilities:
  • Create an environment where engineers are motivated to achieve their best, leading by example with a strong commitment to excellence.
  • Work closely with the Field Line Manager to develop and implement strategies that promote continuous improvement and enhance team efficiency.
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members, helping them develop their technical skills and fostering a culture of ongoing learning and development
  • Assist in the induction of new team members, ensuring they are fully prepared with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles
  • Actively participate in engineering tasks, providing practical, on-the-ground support and troubleshooting complex systems, products, and issues
  • Offer over-the-phone technical assistance to team members, helping them resolve challenges swiftly and efficiently
  • Regularly conduct health and safety audits within the engineering team, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
  • Develop and enforce action plans to address any safety concerns, maintaining a safe working environment for all team members
  • Monitor and ensure that all engineering tasks are completed to the highest standards, meeting both customer expectations and business objectives
  • Serve as the primary communication link between field operations and the office, ensuring clear and consistent information flow
  • Facilitate feedback from the field to management, helping to refine processes and improve service delivery
Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience with Gent and Notifier systems
  • Proven experience in field electrical and supervisory/management..
  • You will need to have at least 8 years industry experience.
  • Industry specific qualifications (FIA or equivalent)
  • You must be fully qualified, with a certificate in IOSH or SSSTS (Health and Safety)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Sound knowledge of contract terms and pricing
