Responsibilities for the Head Health, Safety, Environment and Quality will include:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to communicate and implement health and safety policies across the organisation.
  • Advise project teams and engineers on the day-to-day application of the UK health and safety management system, ensuring compliance and reporting against key metrics.
  • Act as a key point of contact for third-party organisations, including contractors, clients, and enforcement agencies.
  • Prepare and present HSE reports to the senior management team.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the health and safety strategy.

The successful Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within utilities, fit-out, refurbishment, or household energy sectors.
  • Desirable: Understanding of Quality Management Systems, particularly ISO 9001.
  • A NEBOSH or NVQ qualification at certificate level (or equivalent).
  • The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong technical knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, compliance, and regulations.

This position will require a self starter who can lead by example and hit the ground running; excellent communication skills are essential.
