We are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Manager to work for a company within in the education sector.

Theyre looking for someone who has a background within Health & Safety and compliance who would be able to come into the team and hit the ground running.

Typical duties would include:

  • Developing, implementing and reporting on Health & Safety standards and procedures.
  • Commission health and safety audits and actioning any recommended changes.
  • Review and manage any security issues within the site.
  • To be a key contributor to the environmental sustainability policies.
  • Assisting to inspect the site with a focus around Health and Safety risks on site.
  • Managing the team of Porters.

The successful candidate:

  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety Manager or similar position.
  • Previous experience managing a team.
  • NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
  • Experience managing large budgets.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable reporting into key stakeholders.

It would be beneficial but isnt essential if the successful candidate had a background within the education sector.
