Area Manager - Contract Catering

Salary: £50,000 - £52,000 + Fantastic Benefits
About the role:
We are on the hunt for a passionate and dynamic Area Manager to join a contract catering company renowned for its quality-driven ethos and a team of craft-skilled chefs. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee operations at four initial sites, empowering onsite teams to deliver exceptional, creative menus that align with our company's vision of culinary excellence.

Area Manager Key Accountabilities:
- To support the team to create and serve imaginative food in line with client and customer expectations
- To ensure team provide exemplary customer service
- Ensure behaviours and appearance when at sites promotes company values
- Builds good Business relationships and promotes company values
- Communicates effectively with client, teams and individuals
- Is able to observe and manage the processes at sites to ensure optimum efficiency
- Is instrumental in interpreting information and makes plans and decisions to move the units forward
- Produces budget for units and manages budget and finances for the sites - monitoring, identifying opportunities and also managing areas of concern
- Identifies and sets priorities for units and can adapt according to business needs
- Produces report from site visit with actions so that develops the unit
- Conduct effective meetings with client
- Conduct effective meetings with manager and staff
- Liaises with client when on site and addresses any concerns
- Is active in preventative measures to ensure issues do not become business critical
- Take responsibility for ensuring the right staff are hired at site level. Looks for alternative opportunities when hiring staff and liaises with HR
- Ensures that staff for the sites they are responsible for have completed the compulsory within the correct timescales
- Responsible for completing own compulsory training within the correct timescales
- Willing to undertake any training to enhance the role as necessary.
- Develop good customer relations whilst at site and encourages team to do the same
- Promotes good customer care to enhance the customer experience in the restaurant
- Complies with the correct PPE in line with unit policy and procedures
- Observes the correct protocol in terms of client procedures when visiting sites
- If any changes or substitutions to ingredients are made to the dishes prepared please ensure that the manager and all staff concerned are informed and menus must be amended to incorporate these changes.
Additional Information:
- Take responsibility for ensuring that the site is compliant with Health and Safety and Food safety legislation
- To collate and manage accounts at Trading accounts
- To present the accounts to clients
- Ensure late payments are discussed with clients
- Is aware of payroll and HR policies
