Their investment in staff has been formally recognised in being accredited with Investors in People Gold status. As an Employability Trainer, you will play a crucial role in empowering our students to develop the skills and confidence necessary to excel in the workplace. You will have the opportunity to work both on-site and offsite within the community, fostering valuable connections with our referral partners. Main Duties
  • Co-ordinate employability skills programme delivery for a rolling caseload of students in a wide range of sector specific programmes such as, Business Administration, Customer Service, Hospitality, Adult Social Care, Digital Skills etc. • Provide recruitment and selection support to build your caseload of students • Provide both academic and pastoral support to students, working with them to raise their ambition and aspiration, ensuring they realise their full potential. • Undertake all aspects of student assessment including initial assessments, internal verification and liaison with external verifiers and awarding bodies as required. • Comply with the college’s maths and English strategy, maintaining your ability to embed both subjects into your teaching practice. • Work with colleagues responsible for student services to deliver an overall student experience, which engages, inspires and prepares students for the world of work. • Work with the Team Leader and Quality to continually strive for excellence and improve standards. • Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders to maximise opportunities for employer engagement in the learning process.
Personal Specification
  • Maths and English qualifications to GCSE Grade C or equivalent or ability to achieve 
  • Previous experience of working within the Employability sector
  • Experience of training others in non-traditional teaching environments
  • A1 Assessors Award/PTLLS or similar qualifications are desired but not essential.
