This role involves leading IQA strategies, supporting curriculum development, and collaborating with key stakeholders to enhance the learner experience.Key Responsibilities of the Lead IQA:• Oversee and implement internal quality assurance practices in alignment with college policies.• Support the design and management of employer-based training programmes.• Line manage and mentor Trainer Assessors, ensuring high standards of training delivery.• Coordinate and prepare for external quality assurance visits and End Point Assessments.• Maintain accurate learner records and ensure timely registration and progression with awarding bodies.• Develop and monitor comprehensive training plans to track learner progress.• Build and maintain strong relationships with employers to support learner training and development.• Lead standardisation meetings, staff training, and drive quality improvements.• Engage actively in department self-assessment and quality improvement planning.Skills and Experience Required for the Lead IQA:• Essential:o Level 3 vocational qualification and CPD in Construction or Motor Vehicle.o Level 3 TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent assessment qualification.o Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance qualification.o Experience in training, assessing, and internal quality assurance within FE and apprenticeships.o Demonstrated ability to manage work-based learning caseloads and conduct quality assurance.o Comprehensive understanding of apprenticeship standards and vocational qualification systems.o Practical competencies in Construction or Motor Vehicle sectors.o Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.• Desirable:o Level 4 Leading Internal Quality Assurance qualification.o Familiarity with e-portfolios and quality monitoring roles.o Robust knowledge of Ofsted processes and procedures.Additional Requirements:• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.• A current driving licence and willingness to travel for work purposes.Why Join This Organisation?• Competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including a generous pension scheme.• A collaborative and professional environment with a focus on continuous development and maintaining high standards.For further information, please contact Pertemps Newcastle and ask for Simon Atkins on .
