We are delighted to be representing an inspirational and well respected Cambridge based centre of learning to hire a part time Carpentry & Property Maintenance Trainer/Assessor.  Our client have outstanding teaching and leisure facilities and a reputation for excellence in a number of fields. Their investment in staff has been formally recognised in being accredited with Investors in People Gold status.   Working 22.5 hours per week (3 days per week), the successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support, predominately to carpentry and property maintenance apprentices, ensuring their timely achievement and overall success. Experience of working within an apprenticeship delivery environment would be desirable, but training will be available for candidates who can demonstrate high levels of industry skills and knowledge. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality support leading to timely achievement of apprentices’ goals.
  • Form and maintain professional relationships with employers to facilitate effective training and assessment, and ensure repeat business.
  • Conduct regular learning reviews with apprentices and employers, setting and reviewing targets to ensure continuous progress.
  • Assist in the on-boarding process, including conducting interviews and induction sessions for new students.
  • Deliver high-quality training sessions to support the wider learning and development of apprentices.
We are looking for:
  • Experience working within an apprenticeship delivery environment is desirable, but training will be available for high-quality candidates.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to form professional relationships with employers and apprentices.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality training and support.
  • Good IT skills
