We are looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to support our Work Based Learning Manager in ensuring high standards of quality and compliance across all learner journeys. This role involves leading internal Quality Assurance strategies, supporting curriculum development, and driving continuous improvement across a range of Work Based programmes.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Support the Work Based Learning Manager in maintaining high standards of quality and compliance for all aspects of learner journeys.
  • Lead internal Quality Assurance strategies, plans, and activities in line with the College’s policies.
  • Manage and support curriculum development and employer-based training programmes.
  • Line manage a caseload of Trainer Assessors, ensuring high quality of provision and good practice.
  • Plan and execute external quality assurance visits and End Point Assessment for Apprentices.
  • Engage with department self-assessment and quality improvement planning.
  • Act as a point of contact for employers and learners, fostering positive relationships and providing feedback on progress.
  • Deputise in the absence of the Work Based Learning Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Level 3 relevant vocational qualification and relevant vocational CPD.
  • Level 3 TAQA or Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Qualifications (or equivalent, A1, etc).
  • Experience in training and assessing within a Further Education or training environment.
  • Recent vocational experience or history of continuous professional development in a relevant industry.
  • Experience of dealing with employers in a professional capacity.
  • Ability to work flexibly when required, including evenings, weekends, and holiday periods.
  • In possession of a current driving licence and willing to use own car, insured for business use, or alternative means to travel extensively.
  • In-depth understanding of apprenticeship standards and current vocational qualification systems.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and IT skills.
