Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM - 4:45 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break)

About the Role

We’re on the lookout for a Customer Service Specialist to join a thriving team in Bar Hill, Cambridge. This is a pivotal role within the manufacturing sector, perfect for someone who is driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture relationships with customers through email and Teams, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism.
  • Manage customer queries, processing orders, and handling changes to POs, returns, repairs, and rework orders.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve shortages, coordinate delivery schedules, and address escalations.
  • Maintain accurate records in internal systems, including price lists, quotes, and technical documentation.
  • Analyze and update customer orders, ensuring clear communication of changes.
  • Support stock audits, manage credit/debit notes, and assist in sales forecasting.
  • Propose and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and enhance the customer experience.

About You:

  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (essential).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and BOMs (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience using SAP or similar systems is advantageous.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
