Data Engineer £50,000 - £60,000Cambridge, Hybrid 2-3 days per week in office

We are working with an innovative "tech-for-good" Cambridge start-up as they build out their Data team. Here, data plays an important role in driving business insights and performance across the platform, and so we are looking for a Data Engineer to help scale data infrastructure, build scalable data pipelines, and collaborate closely with the wider data team with the designing and maintaining of data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable data pipelines
Build and optimise ETL processes
Manage data storage solutions, such as S3, Redshift, and RDS, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency
Automate data workflows
Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with privacy regulations
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and data storage performance to ensure reliability and accuracy
Document and maintain data architecture and pipelines for long-term scalability

Requirements

Python, Java, or Scala.
AWS Cloud Services: AWS S3, AWS Lambda, Amazon Redshift, etc
Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, dbt
PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB
REST APIs, AWS Gateway
Git, GitHub, GitLab
5+ years in data engineering, cloud data solutions, or related roles
