Our client are seeking an experienced document controller to join their well established team, based in Cambridge. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing the flow and organization of documentation across multiple construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all project-related documents are filed, distributed, and controlled in an efficient and timely manner while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and reports.
  • Ensure all documents are appropriately categorized, stored, and easily retrievable.
  • Distribute documents to internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders in line with the project requirements.
  • Maintain version control and ensure documents are updated as necessary.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to facilitate the smooth exchange of information.
  • Ensure that all documentation complies with relevant industry standards and company procedures.
  • Support project teams in the preparation of documents for submission to clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of document control processes and systems.
  • Handle document archiving at project completion and ensure proper handover of final documentation.
  • Use document management software such as Aconex, Viewpoint, or similar platforms to monitor workflows and documentation progress.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of construction documentation processes and terminology, as wellas proficiency in document management systems, such as Aconex, Viewpoint or similar. Our client are seeking an individual with excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects, meticulous attention to detail with high levels of accuracy and the ability to work as part of a team.
