Sonic Summary

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a 6-month contract with a public sector client in Cambridgeshire.
The position offers an excellent day rate outside IR35 and requires the candidate to work 3 days onsite and 2 days remotely.
Candidates should have a proven background in infrastructure engineering within the public sector and ideally hold active SC clearance.
Essential skills include experience with Dell Avamar, VMware suite, Microsoft Active Directory, and understanding Zero Trust Architecture principles.
A minimum of several years of relevant experience is expected, along with familiarity in Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.

We are currently seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to work with our public sector client

6 months contract

Excellent day rate outside IR35

Location: 3 days a week on site & two remote in Cambridgeshire

The ideal candidates will have a proven Senior Infrastructure Engineer background within public sector experience ideally holding active SC clearance.

Essential Skills:

Dell Avamar and Data Domain backup solutions, running on Dell IDPA's
Experience of VMware suite, preferably VMware Cloud Foundation on Dell VxRails
Microsoft Active Directory, Tier Model, Least Privilege Access, PAM, GPOs, DNS
Understanding the principles of Zero Trust Architecture.
Experience with creating technical designs, documentation, and policies
Experience of delivery within a technical axis utilising both Agile and stage-gated Waterfall project delivery assurance methodologies.

VMware NSX-T
Horizon, AppVolumes
VMware vRealize Suite, Automation, Operations, Log Insight and Lifecycle Management
Programming/Scripting Infrastructure as Code and Testing
Experience of full stack Atlassian suite
Knowledge of IT Service Management tools i.e. PRTG, SolarWinds, JIRA, ServiceNow, LogRhythm
