Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly motivated team of 18th Edition certified Electrical Installers, manufacturing and installing electrical circuits and communication systems into mobile workspaces and various electrical products and equipment

You will be playing an important role in some high-profile military projects, and your ideas and contribution will be valued in a business where people really matter. Training will be provided on the products and there is scope for further development and progression within the company

*suitable candidates MUST have current 18th edition electrical regulations certification, any applications without 18th edition will not be considered*

Duties:

  • To carry out manufacture, assembly and build of Land Systems specialist projects using engineering drawings and associated design data to meet the business and customer expectations to BS7671 standards
  • Installing electrical cabling / wiring into specialised containers
  • The following wire related work will be required:
    • Looming, Crimping, Braiding, Soldering, Wire cutting/preparation
    • Ensure all tasks are carried out within the allocated time
    • To ensure that Marshall’s production processes and procedures are maintained
    • To follow and work in line with MADG Health and Safety management systems
    • Take an active role in continuous improvements to include lean and 5S procedures, ensuring a clean, compliant work area is maintained at all times.
    • Attend and support production meetings if required
    • Entry of job bookings on ERP system

Experience:

  • Conversant with AC/DC circuits and single and three-phase supplies
  • Capable of building looms and harnesses comprising military type connectors
  • Capable of soldering, crimping and general small-scale, low-gauge wiring
  • Have previous experience of intricate panel wiring
  • Candidates from automotive, industrial, defence, military or engineering background encouraged

Qualifications:

  • current 18th edition electrical regulations accreditation
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • City & Guilds 2365 Level 2/3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Building & Structures, or equivalent electrical qualification)
  • IPC-A-620 Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies
