Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Location: Cambridge
Contract: 6 months (potential for extension)
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (07:15 to 15:45), Friday (07:15 to 12:15)
Pay: 19.12/hour (PAYE) or 26.04/hour (Umbrella)

We are recruiting experienced Mechanical Assemblers to join a leading engineering company working on specialist projects for deployable infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality builds and project delivery.

About You:

  • Experienced Mechanical Assembly Fitter.
  • Must have previous assembly experience gained within engineering & manufacturing.
  • Ability to use hand tools such as spanners, screw drivers, torque wrenches & electric power tools.
  • Competent in understand aerospace standards.
  • Good technical knowledge
  • Ability to read assembly drawings & instructions


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and build projects using engineering drawings and design data.
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, assembly preferably in automotive or heavy industry.
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and technical designs.
  • Must be able to use hand tools such as spanners, screw drivers, torque wrenches and electric power tools.
  • Support production managers in meeting deadlines and maintaining budget requirements.
  • Take part in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and 5S processes.
  • Ensure all equipment and tooling needs are identified and reported.
  • Attend production meetings when required.


Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible for BPSS Clearance.
Must be able to provide 3 years of employment history.
