Exciting Opportunity for Conceptual Electronics Designers in Teversham!

KO2's client are looking for talented Electronics Designers to help create innovative solutions that push the boundaries of high-performance engineering. If you are passionate about developing state-of-the-art electronic systems and thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment, this is the role for you.

Position: Electronics Design Engineer
Location: Teversham, onsite
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architectural development of electronic systems for high-performance applications.
  • Design and develop circuits, including:
    • H-bridge solenoid, motor and inductive load interfaces.
    • High and low-side MOSFET switches, current sensing, and measurement.
    • Common op-amp circuits (amplifiers, filters, comparators), microcontrollers, and communications interfaces (SPI, I2C, CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
    • Power supplies (linear and switched-mode).
  • Commission, debug, and validate designs.
  • Produce PCB designs using third-party layout resources, including layout and routing.
  • Perform analogue circuit simulations to predict performance and optimize designs.
  • Generate documentation: specifications, design descriptions, design and test reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams while adhering to industry-standard processes.

Highly Desirable Experience:

  • Architectural development of complex electronic systems.
  • Circuit design for power electronics and communication interfaces.
  • PCB layout and routing experience.
  • Experience with analogue circuit simulation and design validation.
  • Proficient in creating clear design documentation and reports.

Desirable Experience:

  • Safety-related hardware design and functionally safe hardware development.
  • Experience in product qualification including EMC and environmental testing.
  • Familiarity with design for manufacture and design for test principles.
  • A background in reliability analysis (FMEA) and derating of components.
  • Development of hardware test software.
  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
