DSP / FPGA Engineering ConsultantLocation: Cambridge, England, United KingdomContract: PermanentSalary: Competitive + Excellent BenefitsJob Description:Electus Recruitment is seeking a DSP / FPGA Engineering Consultant to join a dynamic SME that is part of a larger group of companies poised for significant growth. As an Experienced DSP/FPGA Consultant, you will be at the forefront of the innovation race to help, defend and protect the UK from the latest technological and cyber threats.Key Responsibilities:The role is varied and dynamic role that involves technological exploration and hardware enhancement. You will work on pioneering concepts within multi-disciplinary teams, turning ideas into reality through rapid prototyping.Specific tasks include analysis, computational modelling, prototype design, invention, laboratory testing, process development, and manufacturing.You will be responsible for tackling complex electronic engineering challenges, deepening your understanding of engineering fundamentals and physical principles.Requirements:To be considered for this position, you will have extensive relevant experience working in Digital Signal Processing algorithm development on FPGA architectures, have a proven track record of design and implementation of technological solutions and leading projects. You will likely to have held a senior / principal engineer or equivalent position within the UK Defence sector.In addition, experience in any of the following is desirable: 
  • RADAR or communications applications 
  • OpenCPI 
  • Software Defined Radios (SDRs) 
  • Electronics development 
  • RF design 
  • Embedded software development and software architecting
