Lead Project Engineer (Electronics) | Space Science | Essex

We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Lead Project Engineer who will be responsible for leading product development during the lifecycle of crucial projects in space science and earth observation. Operating at the forefront of technology, our client boasts an esteemed reputation as a global leader, pushing boundaries in the development of cutting-edge products for space sectors.

You will need to come from an electronics engineering background with experience working on system engineering projects with complex PCB design and assembly requirements to be able to oversee engineering inputs to the projects. This could be suitable for someone who is an established Project Engineer looking to take the next step, or someone who has a varied engineering background such as a Systems Engineer.


Role / Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical leadership and direction to the project team
  • Gather requirements and build detailed plans
  • Support throughout the project lifecycle with engineering governance and Engineering Management Plans
  • Identify risks and opportunities and manage them accordingly
  • Contribute to bidding activity
  • Configuration control product and project

Skills / Experience:
  • Electronic engineering background working with components such as PCBs
  • Background in industries such as Aerospace, Oil and Gas, precision engineering, Automation or robotics and mechatronics
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Technical documentation experience
