Senior Electronics Engineer

About Company/Role
Lynx Recruitment is working with an innovative life sciences company, originally spun out from a prestigious UK university. As Senior Electronics Engineer, you'll join a multidisciplinary R&D team developing sophisticated life science platforms. Their technology enables breakthrough discoveries in cancer research and immune diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive electronics design from concept through prototype to manufacture
- Develop solutions focusing on:
- Data and signal processing on FPGAs and microprocessors (Verilog and C++)
- High-speed circuit design
- Control algorithms
- High-voltage signal generation
- Create schematics and PCB layouts (up to 6-layer)
- Develop embedded low-level code
- Produce technical documentation
- Source components and manage supplier relationships
- Participate in design reviews
Required Skills
- Degree in Physics, Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience with Electronic CAD (Altium preferred)
- Track record in complex product development
- Strong knowledge of communication protocols (RS485, SPI, I²C, UART, CAN)
- Hands-on prototyping and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
