Cambridge - Senior Principal Electronics Engineer- £80K-£85K

My Client is seeking a Senior Principal Analogue Electronics Engineer to fulfill their business demands. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the entire product development process, encompassing concept and prototype phases to production and support. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in analogue electronics design, as well as power electronics.

Main Duties:

  • Understand and analyze requirements, collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Design digital baseband circuitry for radio and accessory products.
  • Resolve design and integration issues.
  • Work closely with the software team during device driver development.
  • Support type approval processes.
  • Assist in production, defining subsystem test strategies.
  • Provide technical support to end customers.
  • Report progress to the project team and manager.
  • Support, lead, and mentor team members.
  • Conduct technical recruitment interviews.
  • Create design documents for components or products in development.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Solid electronics design experience in a development environment.
  • Experience designing switching power supplies, buck, boost and flyback converters.
  • Experience with microprocessor and microcontroller designs
  • Experience in designing digital interfaces and buses - USB2, SPI, I2C,
  • Low power circuit design for battery powered products.

The salary for this position will be circa £80000 - £85000 depending on experience.
