Job Description
- Job Title: Contaminants Laboratory Analyst
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week 9am to 5.30pm
- Job Location: Cambridge
- Salary: Highly competitive
- Monitor and comply with quality system requirements.
- Maintenance and operation of instrumentation (GCMSMS,LCMSMS, ICP-MS & ICP-OES) to enable high standards of analytical performance, ensuring that requirements of ISO 17025 (accredited by UKAS) are met.
- Demonstrate compliance with company approved test methods, procedures, and quality systems. Essential criteria for ISO17025 accreditation and adherence to SGS Laboratory Quality Systems.
- Maintain analytical instrumentation to uphold a high standard of data and minimize instrument downtime.
- Maintain organized and auditable systems of work to ensure compliance with our UKAS accreditation.
- Delivery of allocated daily tasks within defined timescales to maximise operational outputs and efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Must be computer literate in use of MS Packages.
- Must have a working knowledge of chemistry, analytical equipment and methods.
- Experience of practical chemistry or related science subject.
- Experience of working within a UKAS accredited laboratory.
- Experience of working with GC-MS(MS) and/or LC-MS(MS)
