On behalf of my client, I am advertising for an Events Manager to work for a well-established professional services company. This is a new and exciting role and will involve taking charge of the complete lifecycle of their corporate events. Location: Ideally Cambridge, but Norwich, and other regional offices may be considered. You will be organising events around the UK and potentially on an international level, so the flexibility to travel when necessary is a must.
Job Type: Full-time/ Hybrid
Salary: 40-45k
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the creation and management of events such as conferences, dinners, and meetings from the ideation stage through to execution.
- Source, visit, and select venues that meet event requirements and budget constraints.
- Organise catering services, manage dietary requirements, book speakers, and arrange equipment rentals and layout to ensure a comfortable and engaging environment for attendees.
- Handle attendee management including invitations, RSVPs, and any necessary adjustments.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure all events comply with Health and Safety regulations.
- Manage budgets, report on costings, and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to maximise event exposure and ensure delivery of all necessary marketing materials.
- Work closely with stakeholders, the Facilities team, and the Marketing team to set event objectives and evaluate success post-event.
- Manage and expand the network of sponsorship positions.
- Build and manage a high-performing team dedicated to delivering outstanding events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Significant experience in organising large corporate events from start to finish in a professional services environment (essential).
- Proven line management experience (essential).
- Strong knowledge of budget management and cost tracking.
- In-depth understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.
- Professional appearance and manner, with a confident, positive attitude.
- Ability to use good judgement and initiative, demonstrating reliability, discretion, confidentiality, and flexibility.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
