e have a fantastic opportunity for an organised, proactive, and professional individual to support the Bursar in a leading Cambridge school

Your Role:

  • Provide full administrative support to the Bursar, ensuring seamless daily operations.
  • Act as the first point of contact for Governors, staff, parents, and visitors, handling all queries with professionalism and discretion.
  • Support the Clerk to the Governors with administrative duties.
  • Manage the Bursar's diary, coordinating meetings, appointments, and events.
  • Handle calls, emails, and correspondence, responding efficiently and sensitively.
  • Produce high-quality reports, letters, meeting notes, and presentations with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Organise and manage meetings, including venue arrangements, document preparation, and minute-taking.
  • Welcome and assist visitors to the Bursar's office.

Who They're Looking For:

  • A highly organised, proactive, and discreet PA with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in diary management, correspondence, and administrative support at a senior level.
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Previous experience within an educational setting is advantageous but not essential

Key Details:

  • Temp-to-Perm Opportunity - Start as a temp on 22nd April (3-day handover week), then transition into a full-time role.
  • Term Time Only - Work 37 weeks per year, with an excellent work-life balance.
  • Flexible Start Times - Between 07:30 - 09:00, 8 hour day, 30 mins for lunch
  • On-site Parking - A rare benefit in Cambridge!
  • Salary - £36,308 - £41,458
