Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a new Finance Analyst to join our Finance team at Cambridge Education Group.

This role will sit within the Finance Planning and Analysis team (FP&A), who partner with the business to provide accurate, timely and insightful analysis to support effective decision making.

The environment is dynamic, and the role will report directly to the Group Head of FP&A in supporting the Sales & Marketing team, leading on annual budgets and monthly reporting cycles.

The role is on a full-time, permanent basis, based at our Head Office in Cambridge, United Kingdom. We operate under a Hybrid Working policy with 3 days a week that can be worked from home.

Other key responsibilities within this role:

  • Partnering: Providing agile and high-quality finance support to senior management (including CEO Commercial, CFO & COO), the Global Sales & Marketing Director and the globally located S&M team and to the wider business and finance team
  • P&L ownership: responsible for the S&M P&L & ONCAMPUS reporting monthly performance to the business
  • Budgeting: Owning the complete S&M & UFP budget process from working across the business to build the plan, through to presenting to management for sign off
  • Forecasting: Producing formal forecasts twice a year to highlight any deviations to the S&M budget, together with recommendations
  • Analysis: Providing insight and challenge to non-finance stakeholders, in a way that is clear and informs decisions, particularly in relation to managing costs and agent commissions and other critical business decisions
  • Commissions: Working with the Sales directors to lead on the annual commission price setting process and review and approval of subsequent agent payments
  • Providing support: Working closely with the SFBP and wider finance team on key projects, day to day deliverables and the on-going collective aspiration of providing clear, accurate and useful management information

Key skills and experience we will be looking for:

  • Educated to degree level
  • AAT qualified
  • Proven budgeting & forecasting experience
  • Periodic reporting to management
  • Senior stakeholder management
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint
  • Proven experience of Presentation to large/senior audiences
  • Strong ability in organisation and time management
