Our NHS client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Finance Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of our financial information and ensuring the accuracy of our reporting structures. The successful candidate will oversee the Chart of Accounts, respond to complex financial queries, and lead improvement projects within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Chart of Accounts, ensuring accurate and reliable financial reporting.
  • Implement changes requested by budget holders and Finance Teams, coordinating with the Finance Systems Team.
  • Plan and execute projects to enhance financial controls, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate in department-wide working groups and represent the Financial Accounts Team in improvement projects.
  • Prepare and complete submissions for the national Agreement of Balances exercise.
  • Monitor and control the liquidity position.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Financial Accounts Team, including recruitment, training, and general management.
  • Support Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Cashiers on system-specific processes.
  • Contribute to the production of monthly financial reports and statutory annual accounts.
  • Liaise with auditors and provide supporting information for complex queries.
  • Ensure up-to-date procedure notes for all areas of responsibility.
  • Uphold the Trust’s equal opportunities policy and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
