Fixed Term Contact – Finance Business Partner
Location: Cambridge, CB5 (on-site working)
Duration: 6 months
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday
This role is crucial in delivering the College’s Deficit Reduction programme.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with Heads of Department, Head of Finance, and Management Accountant to provide comprehensive operational management reports and dashboards for monitoring the Deficit Reduction programme.
- Work closely with Senior Leaders and Heads of Departments to implement the Deficit Reduction programme, including.
- Evaluate departmental software usage and consider:
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of costs, working capital, balance sheet, and capex drivers, translating this into actionable insights and plans.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analysis to support tactical and strategic decision-making, including process optimisation suggestions.
Person Specification:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Significant experience in financial cost management and analysis
- Good analytical skills, including Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills (Essential)
