You will assist with the daily finance functions of a fast-expanding tour operator, providing input and direction into the evolution of the department, whilst ensuring the integrity & progression of all administrative systems, as well as highlighting & developing reporting & forecasting elements. This is a fully office based role, based in Cambridge.

JOB ROLE:

  • Preparation, distribution & ownership of weekly/monthly agent statements
  • Preparation and input of purchase invoices
  • Development & enhancement of all current operational, commercial and financial MI in line with business growth & evolvement
  • Highlight & develop improved forecasting processes & reporting.
  • Creating & managing payments for flights, purchases and expenses
  • Daily processing of cash receipts to include credit cards, cheques and bank transfers
  • Creating & submitting monthly returns to the CAA
  • Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts, annual statutory
  • accounts and liaising with the auditors

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Within commuting distance of Cambridge, preferably within 30-40 mins
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including senior management
  • Accounting qualification CIMA / ACCA / ACA or similar, part or fully qualified
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications -Excel, Word, Access or similar database system.
  • Knowledge of Sage business software
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Numerate and accurate
  • Problem solving skills

PACKAGE:

A fantastic starting salary of £29-33K dependent on experience is available for the successful candidate and fantastic office hours NO WEEKENDS!
