iM Med is currently recruiting for a full-time Finance Manager to join our Finance team, based in Waterbeach, Cambridge. This commercial position is a key role within our growing business and will be integral to ongoing company success.

As Finance Manager you will manage the iM Med finance team, working closely with the Finance Director and wider leadership team. You will ensure that the team consistently produce high quality output. Working with the Finance Director you will oversee and support the allocation of work amongst the team.

The key responsibilities of the Finance Manager role will include:

Monthly Billing Cycles: Oversee accounts payable process and ensure timely payments. Ensure balance sheets are fully reconciled with supporting schedules.

Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and manage financial plans, budgets and forecasts. Work with the Finance Director and wider leadership team on the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes. Analyse financial performance and provide insights to Leadership team.

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts at a profit centre and legal entity level, with analysis and while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Assist in the production of annual statutory accounts and audit.

Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks. Implement and maintain internal controls.

People Management: Manage and motivate the Finance team, driving a focus on timeliness, responsiveness, quality and accuracy.

Stock Control and Purchasing: Oversee stock counts, stock management and provide purchasing support

We are looking for an experienced accounting professional with the following skills and background:

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent demonstratable experience
  • Excel and modellingexperience
  • Experience in creating statutory accounts advantageous
  • Ability to delegate and manage the work of others
  • Experience of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Experience in the production of budgets and forecasts
  • Experience with accounting systems, ideally Unleashed and/or Xero
