Finance ManagerCambridge (hybrid)£55,000 - £65,000

Reed Finance are exclusively representing a leading SME in Cambridge in the recruitment of a Finance Manager to lead the digital transformation and modernisation of their finance processes. This strategic role involves overseeing traditional financial operations while driving innovation through the adoption of modern systems and technologies to enhance efficiency, transparency, and strategic decision-making.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
    • Manage accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation, and deferred income.
    • Oversee accounts payable, including creating mid-month and month-end supplier payments, processing payroll, and managing staff expenses.
    • Handle payroll preparations, submissions, pension contributions, and commission calculations.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare and submit financial reports, ensuring compliance with group standards.
    • Conduct cash and bank management, including completing bank reconciliations.
    • Manage receivables, review debtor listings, and handle stock and WIP adjustments.
  • Digital Transformation and Modernisation:
    • Collaborate with directors and senior managers to overhaul financial and operational processes.
    • Lead the implementation of new ERP, expenses, and HR systems.
  • Compliance and Governance:
    • Review all financial reconciliations and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
    • Forecast cash flows and submit timely reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial management.
  • Strong background in digital transformation projects, with experience implementing ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Ability to lead and manage comprehensive financial operations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant financial certifications and qualifications are preferred.
